Your future responsibilities
- Lead efforts in applied research on magnetic thin films and spintronic applications aiming for novel device innovations and industrial process developments with 200-300 mm pilot line capabilities
- Actively form the R&D roadmap of the research unit on spintronic and MEMS devices, and integrate it into the unit strategy together with the Research Unit Head
- Guide inter-unit collaboration with the Thin Films Technology group for magnetic thin-film developments
- Participate in building up relevant infrastructure in the cleanroom and the magnetic lab
- Develope towards building, guiding and technically supervising a team of experienced researchers focusing on magnetic thin film, spintronic and MEMS devices
- Initialize and manage large projects and cooperations with the industry as well as national and international funding program participations (HE, FFG, Chips JU, ...)
- Networking and acquisition of international partners from industry and academia, dissemination of results at respected conferences and in high-level journals
- Participate in the daily project work which can include microfabrication, simulation, measurements, meetings with project partners, documentation, scientific article writing, or administrative work.
