Your future responsibilities
- Lead R&D efforts on fabrication of magnetic-based RF microsystems, like circulators, antennas, or inductors, aiming for novel device innovations and industrial process developments with 200-300 mm pilot line capabilities.
- Technology development for RF-based magnetic devices, from concept to prototype
- Collaborate with process engineers to develop magnetic RF device fabrication processes in an TRL 1-6 R&D cleanroom environment.
- Actively form the R&D roadmap of the research unit on magnetic RF microsystems and coordinate inter-unit collaborations with the RF-design teams.
- Participate in building up relevant infrastructure in the cleanroom and the magnetic lab.
- Initialize and manage large projects and cooperations with the industry as well as national and international funding program participations (HE, FFG, Chips JU, ...)
- Networking and acquisition of international partners from industry and academia, dissemination of results at respected conferences and in high-level journals, help to make SAL and MMT internationally renowned in the field.
- Participate in the daily project work which can include microfabrication, simulation, measurements, meetings with project partners, documentation, scientific article writing, or some administrative work.
