We are looking for an experienced scientist leading the development of ion-traps and their applications at SAL. You will become part of a highly motivated, international team committed to building up a European pilot line for ion-trap chips (ITCs) realizing the building blocks of next generation quantum technology. Your work will be embedded in an international collaborative network.
Your tasks include:
- Establishment of infrastructure and set-ups for testing and operation of ion trap devices and development of ion trap systems for Quantum technology applications.
- Coordination and alignment of internal efforts and activities with industrial and academic partners in the pilot line.
- Contribution to design, simulation and characterization of new ion trap chips.
- Dissemination, communication and reporting of research findings to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
- Supervision of students.
- Activities in relevant networks.
- Project management.
- Project and funding acquisition.
