At the beginning of your journey with us, you’ll receive hands-on support from experienced colleagues. As you grow into the role, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility and handle tasks independently.

You’ll be working in a thriving team environment where you’ll significantly deepen your knowledge of EMC in power electronics. Expect an open and collaborative atmosphere with exciting technical challenges in EMC and related fields.

  • EMC measurements of electronic circuits, mainly power electronics hardware, in the laboratory using state-of-the-art measurement equipment 
  • Measurement and modelling of electronic components and their use in simulation - Electromagnetic interference (EMI) simulation of electronic circuits, mainly power electronics circuits 
  • Contribute or lead new projects and cooperations with the industry as well as national and international funding program participations (HE, FFG, Chips JU, ...)
  • Contribute or lead networking and acquisition of international partners from industry and academia
  • Scientific communication, reporting research results in tech documentation and/or in high-level scientific journals, participate in international conferences and drive technical innovation to IP generation
Your profile
  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 
  • Solid knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) principles
  • Solid understanding of power electronics 
  • Proven background in both analogue and digital electronics 
  • Experience with 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation tools
  • Familiarity  with circuit level simulation techniques
  • Hands-on experience with EMC measurements and laboratory work
  • Knowledge of relevant software tools is an advantage, including: Keysight ADS, LTspice, QSpice, CST, Ansys HFSS 
  • Driving licence B

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E (E1 salary = EUR 3.963, paid 14 times a year) based on 38,5 hours per week. For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum gross salary of EUR 61.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract)
