Your future responsibilities
About your Position

As part of the Business Development team for our Research Division Microsystems, you will contribute to the business development operations and create added value for various tasks in alignment with your Business Development Manager. Your responsibilities include handling the preparation and follow-up of day-to-day activities and customer/partner meetings, preparing materials and information for different stakeholders, and contributing to strengthen relationships with customers and partners. You will also contribute to enhancing SAL’s visibility and represent the company and Research Division at selected national and international events. Over time, the position is designed to grow into the deputy role for the Business Development Manager in Microsystems.
 
Your Future Responsibilities include:

  • Support of the business development manager in organisational and administrative matters (e.g. preparing offers, organising and preparing meetings with internal and external partners, taking minutes, handling quotations, contracts, etc.)
  • Maintain and further develop a current, high-quality CRM database
  • Create and prepare presentations and other materials for customer acquisition
  • Deepen existing and/or build new specific technological expertise
  • Acquire industrial R&D projects
  • Generate new and develop existing business areas and opportunities
  • Represent SAL and the division at fairs, conferences, meetings and industry events
Your profile
  • Completed technical education (economic background with strong interest in technology and innovation also possible)
  • A combined background in engineering and economics is preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing or a related field (experience in the semiconductor sector is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Solution-oriented, structured and independent way of working
  • Solid technical understanding
  • Strong team player
  • Fluency in German and English

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group E (E1 salary = EUR 3.963, paid 14 times a year, based on 38,5 hours per week), with potential for overpayment, depending on qualification and professional experience.
